About this service
Founded in 1984 on the principles of creativity, community involvement and enterprise, the Bromley by Bow Centre offers a wide range of services and activities to support local residents’ health and wellbeing.
Recognising that health is shaped by factors such as housing, income, relationships and access to opportunities, the Centre’s pioneering model of community health focuses on preventing problems before they arise and bringing support together.
Bromley by Bow Centre remains closely aligned to its founding partners – Bromley by Bow Health, Bromley by Bow United Reform Church and Poplar HARCA – who continue to share our vision for healthier, happier, more productive communities built on creativity, friendship and enterprise.
More Information
Preventing problems before they arise and bringing support together, means healthier individuals, families and communities. We do this through four key pillars of work: Health and Wellbeing, Advice and Support, Employability, Enterprise and Learning, and Community Inclusion. We are lucky to sit in a wonderfully green space (Bob’s Park) and boast an ArtFix Café on site, providing a great communal space for all to make use of.
In early 2026, Bromley by Bow Centre proudly joined Family Action. Together, we’re strengthening long standing local services and expanding opportunities to support communities across Tower Hamlets.
