About this service
Special guardianship provides children wo aren’t able to live with their birth parents a sense of certainty about where and who will be living with. Special guardians often selflessly provide safe and loving homes to children in urgent need of support but it can be difficult at times. Managing birth family contact, supporting children with complex needs and other challenges can be hard to manage.

Our dedicated special guardianship website provides helpful information and guidance on a range of relevant topics to both support special guardians and improve the outcomes of the children in their care.
