About this service
We provide a safe space to talk through your worries or concerns. Together we can develop an action plan to help you manage unwanted thoughts and feelings to improve mental health and wellbeing through a range of calming and mindful interventions. Our Navigator and Advocacy pathways can connect you to a range of services to reduce loneliness, develop new skills and ensure your voice is heard.

Bolton Listening Lounge provides a space for adults who are feeling worried or overwhelmed to be heard without judgement and supported to be able to better manage their thoughts and feelings. We also connect and support those that attend to other appropriate local services as well as community activities to reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation, and promote wellbeing.
Open seven days a week (3pm – 10pm) we offer on the day appointments as well as open 'drop in' access between 4pm and 7pm daily. To book an appointment, please ring 01204 917739 between 3pm and 9pm.
At Bolton Listening Lounge, we provide:
- a confidential and non-judgmental listening service,
- short-term support for when things feel overwhelming,
- calming and mindful interventions to help you manage your emotions more proactively,
- signposting and referrals to other appropriate services with a warm handover,
- help on taking the first step to recovery,
- encouragement to seek appropriate clinical support where you may need more intensive support.
