About this service
One of Greater Manchester’s Mental Health Crisis Spaces, we provide a safe space for any adult living in the Borough of Wigan that’s feeling worried, overwhelmed or experiencing unhelpful thoughts. Together, we develop an action plan to help manage unwanted thoughts and feelings leading to improved mental health and wellbeing.
We can connect you to a range of services to reduce low mood, anxiety or loneliness, develop new skills and ensure your voice is heard.

Wigan Crisis Space provides a space for adults who are experiencing unhelpful thoughts, or feeling worried or overwhelmed to be heard without judgement and supported to be able to better manage their thoughts and feelings. We connect those that attend to other appropriate local services as well as community activities to help reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation, and promote wellbeing.
Currently, until the full service is open, Wigan residents are currently able to access support via our Bolton Service by calling 01204 917739 or e-mailing [email protected]. Open seven days a week, to book an appointment please ring between 3pm and 9pm.
We provide:
· a confidential and non-judgmental listening service
· short-term support for when things feel overwhelming
· calming and mindful interventions to help you manage your emotions more proactively
· signposting and referrals to other appropriate services with a warm handover
· help on taking the first step to recovery
· encouragement to seek appropriate clinical support when you may needmore intensive support.
