About this service
As part of the Change4Life Service’s approach to tackling health inequalities and increasing positive health outcomes, Change4Life Neighbourhood Projects take place in three wards across Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster which change every year. The purpose of these projects is to provide an opportunity and platform for all members of the community to create a local health campaign that seeks to improve the physical and emotional health and wellbeing of children, young people and families, looking at the main issues and potential solutions to eating well, moving more and feeling good.

Where:
Change4Life Neighbourhood Projects take place in three wards across Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster. In 2020-2021 the target wards were Notting Dale, Dalgarno (RBKC) and Westbourne (WCC). We are currently working in Chelsea riverside, Colville (RBKC) and Churchill Gardens (WCC), where community members and stakeholders are encouraged to join a local steering group to help identify opportunities and barriers to health and wellbeing and decide upon and implement ward campaigns.
If you would like to join the planning group, please get in touch [email protected] or [email protected]
How:
The projects consult with multiple organisations, businesses and community members in each ward to understand the day to day challenges faced by children, young people and families in achieving and maintaining their physical and emotional health and wellbeing.
Neighbourhood projects aim to mobilise all members of the community to create a local movement to improve the physical and emotional health and wellbeing of children, young people and families, supporting them to create a healthier local environment.
