Contact usThis session aims to offer an overview of autism including the associated developmental differences their CYP may struggle with. Supporting the parent/carer to understand and see the world from their child’s point of view, the session starts to look at practical strategies, support and advice dependent on the attendees and their specific needs.

This session looks at how we can better understand communication and interaction by delving into strengths and differences often demonstrated by those with an autism diagnosis. Helping families to understand and advocate for differences and potential support needed, the session aims to nurture connection and meaningful interactions by offering practical strategies.

Session 3 looks at sensory processing and explores the neurological theory. With many sensory systems in the human body, we look at what does each system does and how this might equate to real life.

Looking at SEND and the school system, including reasonable adjustments and support in the classroom, including Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
