More Information

How do you know if you like something until you try? At Wiltshire Community Support and Outreach Service (Mill Race), we provide opportunities to live full and active lives through promoting learning and skills development in a safe environment, geared around individual needs and having fun!

With both morning and afternoon sessions offering a range of pre-planned activities, our approach is person-centered: We gear sessions to individual needs to build independence, we support the customer to have a voice – listened to and heard through customer meetings, and we celebrate important achievements. We regularly share these with families and important people in our customer's lives by having regular customer Meet and Greet sessions and newsletters.

Below are just a few examples of the things we do at the service:

  • Joining local community events, e.g. Calne in Bloom Competition,
  • Life Skills – such as cooking, road safety and safe places,
  • Local trips – to cafe's and local areas of interest,
  • Music and singing,
  • Drama and movement,
  • Fitness Fun including dance, tai chi, and target games,
  • Mindfulness and well-being, and many more ……

The calendar of activities is devised monthly and customers receive a copy of this before the start of the next month.

If you are interested in the service and feel that you might be suitable please give us a call. We are happy to show you around and, after completing a referral, offer a free half-day taster session to give you a better understanding of the service and what we offer.

Places for the service are offered on suitability and you will be allocated a regular day/days pending availability.

*Please note – we don't offer assistance with personal care or medication.*
