About this service
Woodfield Park CommUnity Project aims to boost physical and mental wellbeing of residents by improving access to practical and emotional support. Woodfield Park Community Centre in Welland, Peterborough is being developed into a safe and welcoming community hub, delivering a co-produced, community-led programme of activities and volunteering opportunities that help connect residents to one another and to their community.

*CommUnity Drop-in*
Every Wednesday 10am – 12noon at Woodfield Park Community Centre
Free tea/coffee & toast
- Help filling in forms (Recycle Centre permit / PSR / LEAP / Training courses etc.)
- Help writing/updating your CV and searching/applying for jobs
- Help finding support with money related issues (debt, budgeting etc.)
- Borrow a book
- Drop off your empty ink cartridges
- Just pop in for a chat

First Wednesday of every month 10am-12noon at Woodfield Park Community Centre
Join us for free tea & coffee (and cakes & biccies). Pop in to catch up with friends or make some new ones.

Every Tuesday & Wednesday 10-11.30am at Woodfield Park Community Centre
We have a wide range of SEND Resources for children of all ages: Fidgets, lights, books, anxiety busters, conversation starters and more.
Available to all families/parents/carers.

*Donate / Recycle*
We are currently looking for:
- Christmas jumpers / T-shirts (adult and child sizes). Must be clean and in good condition
- Empty Ink cartridges – help the environment and let us recycle your old ink cartridges
- Books (any genre) for our Community bookshelf
- Lego/Duplo (and compatible bricks)
Please bring in your donations on a Wednesday morning

We have a National Literacy Trust Community Bookshelf at our Centre. Come and browse our selection on a Wednesday morning. Feel free to donate your old books to the bookshelf if you need to make space for your new ones!

We are always looking for local volunteers to help build our community. If you live locally and have a few hours a week to spare and would like to be part of something special please get in touch. You can register your interest HERE

*Community Open Day & Picnic*
Wednesday 23 July 10am-1pm at Woodfield Park Community Centre
Everyone is welcome to join us for this FREE EVENT! There'll be a free picnic lunch for every person, so bring along a blanket and celebrate summer with us!
We’ll be joined by our friends at: LEAP, Cross Keys, PCC Family Hubs, National Literacy Trust, Family Action Pre-schools and your local councillors so there’ll be loads going on including inflatable games, competitions, treasure hunt, rock painting, arts & crafts, free books and more! We’ll also have an ice-cream van on site so bring along a little bit of cash if you’d like an extra treat!
