About this service

Woodfield Park CommUnity Project aims to boost physical and mental wellbeing of residents by improving access to practical and emotional support. Woodfield Park Community Centre in Welland, Peterborough is being developed into a safe and welcoming community hub, delivering a co-produced, community-led programme of activities and volunteering opportunities that help connect residents to one another and to their community.

Every Wednesday 9am – 12noon at Woodfield Park Community Centre

Free tea/coffee & toast

  • Help filling in forms (Recycle Centre permit / PSR / LEAP / Training courses etc.)
  • Help writing/updating your CV and searching/applying for jobs
  • Help finding support with money related issues (debt, budgeting etc.)
  • Home energy related advice
  • Purchase non-food essentials
  • Borrow a book
  • Drop off your empty ink cartridges
  • Just pop in for a chat

*Donate / Recycle*

 

We are currently looking for:

 

  • Christmas jumpers / T-shirts (adult and child sizes). Must be clean and in good condition
  • Empty Ink cartridges – help the environment and let us recycle your old ink cartridges
  • Books (any genre) for our Community bookshelf
  • Lego/Duplo (and compatible bricks)

Please bring in your donations on a Wednesday morning

We have a National Literacy Trust Community Bookshelf at our Centre. Come and browse our selection on a Wednesday morning. Feel free to donate your old books to the bookshelf if you need to make space for your new ones!

We are always looking for local volunteers to help build our community. If you live locally and have a few hours a week to spare and would like to be part of something special please get in touch. You can register your interest HERE

CommUnity Raffle (A raffle with a difference)

 

Instead of buying raffle tickets with money, our raffle tickets can be obtained by donating items (from our list of needed items) to help with our initiatives, essential items shop and Food Club.

 

Do you run a local small business? We are looking for raffle prizes. Do you have an item, voucher or service that you can offer as a raffle prize? In return we'll advertise your business in our community centre, on our newsletter and on our Facebook page. Please email [email protected] if you are able to help.
