About this service

Food On Our Doorstep (FOOD Clubs) provide good-quality food at a low cost, while also reducing food waste. It costs just £1 a year for a family to become a member. Once you’ve joined, you can purchase a bag of tasty food items every week worth approx. £15 for just £4! To become a member you must live or work within approximately 15 minutes of a club.

We run a wide range of activities and projects alongside the FOOD Clubs, including:

  • Brunch Club – family-friendly activities and tasty snacks during school holidays
  • LifeSkills – supporting people to develop their confidence, social networks, financial and employability skills
  • Families, Food and Fun – storytelling and food themed activities for under 5s and their parents/carers
  • Volunteering Programme – promoting access to diverse volunteering opportunities across our Food Services in Southend
