About this service
Big food parcels – small prices!
Peterborough Food Club is an accessible and friendly service based in Welland. It provides affordable food every week for anyone living in Peterborough. We also offer support and signposting to other agencies and opportunities to volunteer and to attend events at our friendly and welcoming Community Centre.
More Information
Our food club is open to everyone and its aims are to:
• To provide regular access to a sustainable supply of food to people at risk of food insecurity
• Increase disposable income for local families to improve life chances and wellbeing
• Reduce the amount of food being sent to landfill in the UK by utilising surplus food
• Encourage families to access local support services and be signposted to other agencies
For an initial £1.00 membership fee and £4.50 per week you can pick up a tray of food each week to the value of a minimum of £15.00. This could include fresh meat / ready meals / milk / dairy / cereals / store cupboard staples / fruit / vegetables / biscuits / crisps / chocolate.
Feedback tells us that our club makes a huge difference to our members. People tell us that the food club has changed their lives massively and they couldn’t live without it. As well as being financially better off, our members tell us that they eat more healthily and the food they receive challenges them to try new foods.
