Thousands of mums need your help

Thanks to donations like yours, Lauren was able to rebuild her life with her daughter. It wasn’t just food she needed – it was community, support, and a sense of safety. Family Action’s services helped Lauren find a welcoming safe space, a way to rebuild her confidence, and the opportunity to volunteer and look toward the future.

Lauren is no longer just surviving – she’s thriving, read Lauren’s full story here. There are thousands of mums who desperately need your help. Please donate today to help a mum like Lauren back on her feet after fleeing domestic abuse.

Help more mums just like Lauren

We were mostly just eating beans on toast over and over again. I felt low and stressed and didn’t know how I was getting by day to day."

Why support Family Action?

Every day, we see families in desperate need. From putting food on the table to keeping a roof over their heads, supporting children or family members with additional needs, or all these things and more – for too many families right now, life is feeling impossible.

Your donation will help Family Action deliver vital support to individuals, families, and communities across the UK. We support families with all kinds of challenges through our local services and national helpline, FamilyLine.

Every day, we make sure that 350,000 children start the day well-fed through the National Schools Breakfast Programme. We provide affordable food through our community FOOD Clubs. We help new families get the best start in life and support through every age and stage: guiding parents through the emotional rollercoaster of pregnancy, early years and adoption, supporting children and families with SEND challenges, and helping families through conflict and crisis. We offer mentoring for young people and support for people affected by the care system, historically and in the present day.

We’ve been here for families since 1869. Your donations help us to be there when people need help the most – through change, challenge and crisis.
