The NSBP provided support to schools on the programme to run a successful and affordable school breakfast provision until the end of the 2025/2026 academic year. Schools on the programme had 40% or more children in IDACI bands A-F.
The programme was committed to supporting child development, and the belief that a healthy school breakfast, without barrier or stigma, can set up children to succeed and give them the very best chance to learn.

All schools on the programme received:
- A 75% subsidy for breakfast club provision, meaning they paid just 25% of the cost of food and delivery.
- A knowledgeable school support team who were on hand to provide remote advice and support to help get the most from their breakfast provisions.
- An online portal enabling schools to place, amend and cancel their orders at a time to suit them .
- Good practice sharing opportunities, resources and the opportunity to learn from a national network of schools.
- The opportunity to enhance parental engagement on healthy eating and the importance of having a nutritious breakfast each morning.
